Tuesday shenanigans

I picked Jenny up late this morning and I
got to see the painting that they have done in the nursery.
I have to admit I didn't see the vision when they
were describing it to me, but THEY did
and it turned out pretty cute.
Soon they will be getting the crib and filling the nursery.
I can't wait!

Worked on some embroidery today that will
be sewn into a quilt tomorrow and hopefully
be completed and put on the longarm to be quilted!

Tonight I played bunko at Berta's house.
Berta always makes the BEST food!
The weather was superb so we were able to play outside tonight.

Here is the group tonight.
Unfortunately Marta left before the picture was taken.

Tamma was the lucky winner of LRC tonight!

Shower at Mary's

What a beautiful Tea Party I attended yesterday.
It was a shower in my daughter Jenny's honor.

Mary is indeed the hostess with the mostess.
Here she is serving tea.

We ate off of beautiful delicate china.
I wish I had thought to take this picture BEFORE
I ate 1/2 of the goodies on my plate!!!
Nothing says love like home cookin' !!!!

Jenny opened her quilt from me and
even tho her face does not really look like it in this picture.....
I think she really liked it!

Thanks so much to Mary and all of my quilting
friends and family who made it such a nice
party for my Jenny.

Even more pink!

Today my friend Mary is hosting a baby shower for Jenny.
How sweet is that?

Since Jenny is on her way over here right now and
will be away from the computer until AFTER the shower
I am posting a picture of the quilt I made for her
and will give to her today.

This quilt is just a simple "rag" quilt and Jenny
even picked out the fabric on a recent trip to M&L,
but she hasn't seen it together and she didn't
know I was going to do embroidery on it.

I have a rag quilt in my living room and it is so soft
and very warm and it is Jenny's favorite quilt to
use when she is over here and cold.
She has wanted a quilt just like it for years!
I'm pretty sure that she is going to like this one!

This is the label I made for the back of the quilt.

We are off to the shower in a few hours.
I'm pretty sure that I'll have a few pictures to share!
