I love a bargain!

A couple of weeks ago I found this Kindercraft cradle
at Savers.
It was priced at $34.95
and I did a double take when I noticed that the
price tag color was the one that was 1/2 off that day!!!!
Score!
A beautiful cradle for $17.50!!!

So the last couple of weeks I've been cleaning it up,
tightening it up
and making a mattress for it.

I went to Joann's and bought some
high density foam and
covered that with some flannel backed vinyl
to make it "waterproof".
After that I made a double sided mattress pad
and two sets of double sided sheets.

I've been doing this inbetween my quilting jobs,
so it feels like it has taken me forever.

I also made this pink "skirt"
for the cradle.

Now to make the "Boppy"
cover!

Did I mention I was going to be a gramma soon?

Spring is here!

I hadn't checked
on my little hummer lately
so today I decided to venture out and have a look
and see what I found!!!!!

I quickly came back inside to grab
my camera so
I could snap a picture of these two hummers in the nest together.

I'm not sure if these two are babies
or if perhaps
it is the mom and dad hummer.
I've never seen 2 hummingbirds in the same nest before
so this was a real treat!

bye for now,

Boobie-Bunco-Bingo-Blast

To say that I'm looking forward to my new grandaughter is putting it mildly!
I find myself becoming a baby magnet.

I attended a fundraiser for the Susan G. Koman 3Day 60 mile Breast cancer walk and you can see by the photos below what I focused on!

Jenny and I snatched up this little one.....okay, I let Jenny hold her only briefly!
A friend remarked to Jenny that she was never going to get to hold her own baby after it was born............I'd always be holding it!   Might be true!

Second only to the sweet baby were these sweet treats!
My friend John catered this event and he has a flair for making fabulous food and presenting it with panache.
Babies and eating.........hummmm?  what could be better?

This event was titled:
"Boobie-Bunco-Bingo-Blast"
and was presented to benefit
The Susan G. Koman 3Day 60 mile Breast Cancer Walk.

Each participant paid $25 to play one game of Bunco
one game of Bingo and received 4 raffle tickets
to "bid" for many prizes.
There was also a Silent Auction.

My friend Kathy and I made 2 quilts to be auctioned off.

I made this little wallhanging using both embroidery and quilting.

It was a delightful evening.
I hope they raised alot of money for the cause!

See ya next time,   tammy
